Money Growth or Fear of Money?

written by Yann Vernier

Notes from T Harv Eker’s “Millionaire Mind Intensive’s” final day:

Today’s key activities revolved around blasting through the inner barriers that stop you on your track to financial freedom, and achieving an attitude of growth.

Just look at very young kids…

They’re curious. They touch everything. Taste. Push. Pull. Kick. Climb… Just try things not knowing what possible and impossible means.

But as we grew up, more and more worries were programmed into our mind.

Most of your missed opportunities, failed actions, frustrations, and decisions that led you to consequences you didn’t want, are somehow related to a choice you made that didn’t support your growth.

One that was based on fear at some level.

Fear of how other people see you and what they think of you.

Or whatever pain your mind – wired to protect you – told you might happen to you.

So how do you deal with it to avoid shutting your opportunities to earn, grow and keep money?

Practice consciously observing yourself taking your small daily decisions and regular activities.

And systematically ask yourself: “Is this helping me grow?”

If the answer is ‘no’, ‘not really’, ‘not sure’, you’re probably giving in to some fear. That is,  an imaginary anticipation of pain.

Acknowledge the thought of fear, assess the risk rationally, and take action that helps you grow.

Keyword: Practice. So you create the new habit of being aware of and dealing with your inner barriers.

Fear or Growth?

What do you think?

Until tomorrow,
Yann

  1. As children we are full of wonder, curiosity and open-mindedness. We lose these qualities as we grown older and we repalce them with fear and conformity.

This trap us in a box of our own making and keeps us from reaching our full potential.

We can make the conscious decision to turn away from fear and to think like a child again. This opens us up to growth and new opportunities.

Seems that the older we grow, the more fears develop. Of course the older we grow, the more influences we are exposed to.

My guess is we pick up fears and anxieties from those influences, possibly accidently or by “proxy”.

By the time we are older enough to know, it is such an ingrained habit that change seems unlikely.

    Awareness and action. Good post

    Thanks

  3. Hi Yann,

Sounds like you benefited greatly from the seminar.
I am also glad to hear that there were so many exercises in which to participate and practice working out the learning you were experiencing.

It must have really been superb to have built upon the learning you already had at Kevin Hogan’s Wealth Camp in Las Vegas last October 2008.

    Superb!

Fear or growth is a great term. You can have fear but move forward. If you are paralyzed by the fear, you are beaten. Mark

  10. places to go, people to see!

Indeed, your description of the importance of how we FRAME OUR DAY is essential.

Saturday morning I had to be UP and OUT early. I’d set my alarm for early morning but left it OFF. My body woke me up later than I’d planned, but with enough time to be on time AND SHOWERED (for which my companion was certainly grateful! lol!).

And it demonstrated to me that even when my brain is in a fog that I can JUMP right up and out of bed and get RIGHT into the shower and do ONLY the essential. shower and dress. I brought my make up in my bag and put it on in the car when my companion was driving.

So the Up, Showered and Out is possible for me.

    excellent reminder!

  11. Great Insights!

I have a question that I ask myself when I start to undertake an activity

” Will this take me closer or further away from my goal?” You can ask yourself this question in any area of your life and it works!
